Induction cookers are hugely popular in South East Asia; I worked on some of the mid‐end induction cookers. My work involved refining existing interactions, specifications’ documentation, liasoning with researchers / testers and interacting with client.

Electronic Rice Cooker________________________________________________

With emerging needs of Asian kitchens in terms of space and utility coupled with growing awareness of healthy food, there was a need to come up with a fresh UI paradigm that reflected advanced technology and ease of use. My work involved trends research, conceptualizing the UI strategy and interaction design – creating wireframes / flows, assisting supervision of prototype / mockup building and interacting with client / suppliers.

Concepts were validated in Shanghai by interviewing 100 housewives. A comparision with key competitors revealed an exceptionally high preference to the proposed concept.
